What does an electrical drawing set include?
Sockets, lighting, circuits and the distribution board: the sheets an electrician reads on site, and why they need to be ready before the walls are closed.

Electrical drawings are our most requested service. They are a set of sheets that tell the electrician exactly what goes where, so nothing on site is left to guesswork.
Which sheets are in the set?
The set is four sheets, each with its own job:
- Socket and switch plan: exact positions and heights
- Lighting plan: fittings and how they are switched
- Circuit schedule: which line feeds what
- Distribution board layout: breakers and their arrangement
Who reads these drawings?
The electrician, on site. Every point is dimensioned, so the installation is built exactly as planned. Socket heights follow the furniture plan: above the worktop in a kitchen, above the bedside table by a bed. That is why electrics are drawn together with the furniture. In a kitchen it matters most; see kitchen design.
When does an apartment need electrical drawings?
Whenever the wiring is replaced or the walls are opened, which is almost every full renovation. The drawings need to be ready before plastering: once a wall is closed, every change means cutting it open and repairing it again. Electrical drawings are already part of full interior design.
